Balloon - thin profile that rolls with less friction than standard pneumatic or solid rubber wheels. Slight amount of cushion and best on hard, flat surfaces.

Pneumatic - air filled like car tires, these offer maximum cushion and give a little bit under load. Smooth ride over hard or uneven surfaces. It is possible for these tires to go flat.

Solid Rubber - solid for sure, they don't give. Best on hard surfaces and last a long time. They have a firm ride and won't sway under load.

No Flat - similar to a solid rubber with a little more give. Best on hard surfaces and they definately won't go flat. I like these tires!
